Kansas City NoImpactManToday is Earth Day! With that in mind, Whole Foods presents No Impact Man at Glenwood Arts this Saturday, April 24th at 10 a.m.

This documentary follows a young family as they struggle through a year of trying to live as environmentally friendly as possible. I think the documentary’s website describes it best.

“A guilty New York liberal practices what he preaches for ONE YEAR. Turns off the electricity, stops making garbage, gives up TV, taxis, and take-out, and becomes a walking, bicycling, composting, tree-hugging, polar bear saving, local food-eating citizen all while taking his baby daughter and caffeine loving, retail-obsessed, television-addicted wife along with him.”

Unlike many environmental documentaries that take a preachy, judgemental tone, No Impact Man is an honest, good-natured and humorous look at the things we need, and the things we think we need.

When: Saturday, April 24th 10 a.m.

Where: Glenwood Arts

Cost: $4.50
